More Galaxy Note 8 repairs we do
The Galaxy Note 8 came out in 2017, and phones that age start to show wear in ports, buttons and batteries. Here's what we see most often.
No signal, SIM, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth
SIM not detected, searching for signal, or Wi-Fi greyed out? These faults on the Galaxy Note 8 can be a simple fix or a board repair. We tell you which.
Power and volume buttons
Buttons that don't click are common after a drop. We repair the power button and volume buttons on the Galaxy Note 8.
S Pen not working
If the Galaxy Note 8 stops detecting the S Pen, it can be the pen, the slot sensor or the screen's digitiser. We test with a spare pen to find out.
Back glass
Shattered the glass back on your Galaxy Note 8? We replace it with the camera lens and housing protected, so it looks and feels like new.
Not charging or charging port
A loose or dead USB-C port is one of the most common repairs we do. Bring your Galaxy Note 8 in and we'll tell you in a few minutes whether it needs a clean or a new port.
Water damage
Water damage is fixable more often than people think, especially when it's caught early. We check your Galaxy Note 8 for free and quote before any work.
Motherboard and no power
When a Galaxy Note 8 won't turn on, it isn't always the battery. We test the board, and we'll tell you honestly if a repair is worth it.
Data recovery
A broken screen or dead board doesn't always mean your data is lost. We try to get your photos and messages off the Galaxy Note 8 first.
Cameras, lens and flash
Blurry photos, a black camera screen or a flash that won't fire? We replace rear and front cameras, the camera lens glass and the flash on the Galaxy Note 8.
Calls, speaker and microphone
Quiet or crackling speaker, muffled calls or voice messages with no sound: we repair speakers, earpieces and microphones on the Galaxy Note 8.
Accessories. Need accessories too? We carry cases, tempered glass screen protectors, fast chargers, USB-C cables and car phone holders, and we can fit a screen protector for your Galaxy Note 8 while you wait.
Near you. Customers bring their Galaxy Note 8 to us from Carnegie, Caulfield North, Prahran, South Yarra, Mount Waverley and Box Hill, and Tooronga Village has a free undercover car park.
Galaxy Note 8 repair FAQ
How long does a Galaxy Note 8 repair take?
It depends on the repair and the part. Call or SMS us and we'll tell you before you come in.
Do I need to book?
Send us an SMS first so we can confirm we have your part in stock. We'll tell you when to drop it off.
Will I lose my photos and data?
A screen or battery replacement doesn't erase your device. We still recommend a backup before any repair.
What does the warranty cover?
Screens and most repairs have a 3 month warranty, and batteries have 6 months. It covers faults with the part. It doesn't cover new physical damage, such as a drop, or water damage.
Are your Samsung screens genuine?
Yes. We fit genuine Samsung screens, either refurbished or new service pack parts. Each model page shows which one we use for that phone.
How much do you charge to check my device?
Nothing. We don't charge a diagnostic fee.
