How we get the data back
Your photos, messages and contacts live in the phone's storage chip, which works together with the processor. If the board around them is broken, we carefully remove the processor and the storage chip and fit them onto a working board of the same model. When it powers up, it's your phone again, and we back up your data.
What you need to know
Phone storage is encrypted, so you will need to know your passcode. We can't bypass it, and nobody honestly can. Recovery works when the processor and storage chip themselves are undamaged. If one of them is cracked, the data can't be read. We'll look at it first and tell you honestly what the chances are.
Before you bring it in
Don't keep trying to charge or switch on a wet or crushed phone, as that can cause more damage. Put it in a zip bag and bring it in, along with any broken pieces.

Look for the Phone Plus kiosk at the entrance to Coles and Liquorland Warehouse. Bring your device straight to the counter. Most Apple repairs don't need a booking.
Parking is free. Tooronga Village has an undercover car park, so there's no hunting for a spot or paying for a meter like closer to the city.

How much does phone data recovery cost?
It depends on the model and the damage. We assess it for free and give you a price before any work. You decide then.
Is the assessment free?
Yes. There's no diagnostic fee.
How long does it take?
Board transfers are careful work and usually take a few days, longer if we need a donor board for your model. We'll give you a time with the quote.
How do I get my data afterwards?
We back it up to your new phone, your iCloud or Google account, or a USB drive, whichever suits you.
Can you recover data without the passcode?
No. The data is encrypted and the passcode is needed. If you have forgotten it, we cannot help with the data.
